For Audiology Professionals Perth

Resources for Audiology Professionals in Perth

Hearing and Audiology has been successfully servicing West Australians’ hearing needs since 1985. As an independent private practice, we offer a full range of audiological services, including hearingtinnitus and hyperacusis assessments, hearing aid advice, fitting and rehabilitation, as well as free services to Australian Pensioners and Veterans.

Our Perth audiology professionals are university educated allied health professionals. Our top priority is ensuring the highest possible standards of patient care using evidence-based best practice and up to date research. As part of our commitment to providing high-quality services and care to patients and their doctors we have developed a section for professionals on our website. Here you will be able to find information and educational resources for doctors and patients as well as access hearing loss screening tools and refer your patients to us online.

We hope you find this website useful and are able to find what you need. If you would like hard copies of any of the educational materials found here, including hard copies of our referral pads or brochures, or would like to provide feedback, please email medical@hearingwa.com.au or phone (08) 9388 8003.

Services We Offer

This screening tool can be used to assess a patient’s perception of their hearing disability. It is useful for determining what stage of change a patient is currently at with regards to their hearing loss.

In order to respect the hard work of researchers, we provide only links to studies of interest. Some studies are open source and freely available, some require a subscription to access.

The Hearing Services Program (HSP) is run by the Australian government. It allows eligible Australian Pensioners and Veterans to access free hearing services, including hearing assessments, hearing aids and hearing rehabilitation.
Doctors, especially GPs, play an important role in the prevention, detection and management of hearing loss. GPs are often the first point of contact for patients with hearing difficulties and are ideally placed to monitor at risk individuals, screen for hearing loss and assess individual’s readiness to seek help.
Hearing and Audiology is a member of Independent Audiologists Australia. We are independently owned which means we offer a wide range of different hearing aid and earplug manufacturers and will give your patients the best treatment advice based on their needs.
A PDF version of our referral pad (that can be completed electronically) is available to download below. You can add this to your practice’s software for ease of use if you wish.
